Beautiful video by The Seventh Movement of 24 hours on an Aircraft Carrier. Happy Veterans Day!

On 11-11-11, Veteran’s Day, a basketball court assembled on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson for the Carrier Classic basketball game. But the action on the hardwood between Michigan State and North Carolina is no comparison to the teamwork that’s seen here on any given day.

I’m starting to do a continuous blog of the ABC’s which exemplify a pattern/skin/fur that coincides with the letter. First one, “A” is for Alligator. Image is from an vintage suitcase, with the thick areas covered in alligator skin and the edges wrapped and sewn in a thick brown leather. Letter typeface is an altered Ed Roman. Poster typeface is Katelyn and Katelyn Italics.

My new font, Katelyn, as seen on Myfonts.com. It’s a straight handwritten style sans serif font that comes with a fun set of Ornaments and swashes.

Coming soon are Katelyn italics, Katelyn script and Katelyn funky!

I forgot to mention the other day that this is a project I am working on. In addition to the Snowball, which is an awesome winter music festival in Vail Valley, Colorado, I’m also doing all the artwork for the second event of the “Snow” music franchise, “SnowGlobe” which is similar in music and general idea, but is taking place on New Years Eve in Lake Tahoe. Party!
